A serious road traffic collision blocked part of the road from Norton to Stamford Bridge tonight (Wednesday).
The closure was in the Eddlethorpe area, between Ruffin Lane and Low Lane.
The road was closed for a number of hours and motorists were urged to find an alternative route.
