A large amount of illegal cigarettes and vapes have been seized from a York shop.
It follows a joint operation between the York Outer Neighbourhood Policing Team and York Trading Standards.
They searched the business in Clifton and “recovered a significant amount of illegal unregulated vapes and tobacco and cigarettes”.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “This was conducted as part of the Clear Hold Build initiative. It is also the second successful operation that we have conducted with Trading Standards in the Clifton Area.
“This work shows we will continue to work with law enforcement partners to disrupt and deter criminality in the area.”
Last September, Slavic Foods in Crichton Avenue, Clifton, had its licence revoked after hundreds of illicit cigarettes and vapes were seized. A man was also found to be working there illegally.
