Step aside coffee – as tea is getting a cool makeover at Spark York this month.
Tea-tastic pop-up Rebel Tea is brewing up something delicious at the unique Piccadilly venue for all of August.
Described as where ‘black tea meets bold ambition’, Rebel Tea have given the humble tea a glow up – the kind of drinks that make people ask, “wait, this is tea?”

The tea company use a ‘tea latte base’ for their drinks – which is the tea equivalent to a coffee espresso shot. The highly concentrated base is crafted for creative drinks: hot, iced, shaken, stirred, steamed or blended.
Rebel Tea are serving up three flavours in hot and iced varieties: Straight Up Black Tea, Caramelised Biscuit Flavoured and Cherry Bakewell Flavoured.
Rebel Tea’s founders say: “We love coffee culture. The foam art, the weird milk alternatives, the endless seasonal drinks. It’s brilliant.
“But somewhere along the way, tea got left behind — stuck in the land of soggy bags and sad hot water.
“Well, we’re not having it. We’re a band of proud tea lovers who believe it’s high time tea got its glow-up. We’re talking proper drinks. Black tea with attitude. Flavour. Froth.”
The stand can be found out at the front of the venue – try it for yourself!
