An new collaboration in York will see the Riverbus service stop at an additional location this year.
The boat service run by City Cruises York will be calling at the Riverfront York in Bishopthorpe from April.
Operating on selected dates until September, locals and visitors will be able to hop on and sail to and from the city.

It’s ideal for visitors staying at the The Riverfront York caravan site, as the stop will be right at their doorstep.
The Riverbus offers a traffic-free journey to and from the city centre, and the sights you pass along the way make the journey even more enjoyable.
The views include Bishopthorpe Palace, the 13th Century riverside residence of the Archbishop of York, as well as the landmarks within the city itself.

Owner of The Riverfront York Kerrie Cook said: “We are incredibly excited to be opening up a new route to and from York for our visitors this year.
“We hope that the partnership will enable more people to visit us at The Riverfront, and equally add an extra dimension to stays for those that are holidaying with us during the summer.”
The team are carrying out extensive works to the riverside pontoons, in order to ensure that the Riverbus is accessible for as many people as possible.
The Riverbus works as both a sightseeing tour and a transportation service, so guests travelling to and from York will have access to all the sightseeing cruises facilities.
These include a heated saloon, drinks and snacks from the on-board bar, and toilets.

Chris Pegg, head of regional commercial, sales & marketing at City Cruises, said: “We are delighted to be extending our popular Riverbus service this year with stops at The Riverfront York.
“Travelling by river gives visitors a unique perspective of the city and, by adding Bishopthorpe, our visitors will have even more opportunities to explore, whether they join us from The Riverfront to visit the city, or head out from the city to explore everything The Riverfront York has to offer.”
City Cruises York was established in 1977, and has continued to be a prominent presence on the River Ouse ever since.
With a fleet comprising 7 passenger boats and 14 self drive boats, the business transports a total of 221k people annually with its wide offering.
The RiverFront York, owned by locals Phil and Kerrie Cook, underwent a full takeover in December 2023.
Offering visitors a ‘stay, play and dine’ experience, the site is made up of a 25 pitch Caravan Park, six cabins, a children’s play area, Cafe Bar, Pizza Oven and Beauty Salon, all alongside a choice of river-based activities.
