Thieves have broken into numerous cars in a York suburb, police say.
Vehicles parked both on the street and on private drives were targeted in the Clifton area.
It happened between the hours of midnight and 5.30am yesterday (Monday, 14 July).
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Multiple suspects have been seen trying car door handles at numerous addresses between the hours of 12am and 5.30am and belongings have been stolen.
“You may have noticed some suspicious behaviour on your CCTV or that your vehicle was not how you left it.”
They asked anyone with information of relevant CCTV footage to get in touch.
