A decade on from the Parliamentary expenses scandal, how are our MPs doing?

That was the question by the newspaper that broke the story, the Daily Telegraph. And it has put together a handy guide to how much every MP has claimed in recent years.

In York the two constituencies – York Central and York Outer – were created in 2010.

Since then, the MPs who represented those constituencies have claimed a total of £2,605,416 in expenses.

That is £1,415,609 for York Central – by former Labour MP Hugh Bayley and current incumbent Rachael Maskell.

And £1,189,807 by the Conservative Julian Sturdy, who has been MP for York Outer since 2010.
