Police have issued an update on the violent incident at the Nidd Viaduct that left a 17-year-old boy in hospital.
As we reported last night, the teenager was found with lacerations yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) after an “altercation” at the landmark at Bilton, near Harrogate.
Ambulance crews called police to the scene at 4.43pm, and a cordon was put in place.
Today (Thursday) North Yorkshire Police issued this update: “We have made three arrests as part of our investigation into this incident.
“Three boys, two aged 17 and one aged 15, all from the Harrogate area have been arrested on suspicion of affray.
“Our investigation remains ongoing today and there will continue to be an increased police presence in the area.”
