A gang assaulted a couple outside a York restaurant on Saturday night.
It happened opposite The Ivy on St Helen’s Square between 10.45pm and 11pm.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A group of up to ten teenagers assaulted a male and a female.
“Following the incident, officers arrested two boys aged 16 on suspicion of assault. Both were interviewed and released on conditional bail.
“We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
