Harry Gration and Christine Talbot will celebrate ‘God’s own country’ in an evening all about Yorkshire.
The broadcasting legends will join forces to host an unique journey down memory lane live on stage – as well as a programme of some special guests.
Harry of BBC Look North and Christine of ITV Calendar will look back at the memorable stories they have covered and share the tears and laughter along the way – such as tandem rides, a sofa push and for Harry, being literally tied to weather presenter Paul Hudson for days on end.
A Grand Yorkshire Night Out with Harry Gration and Christine Talbot will be at York Theatre Royal on Monday 11 April.

The show will also feature appearances from the Yorkshire Vet, aka Julian Norton who will recount his own tales of a vet’s life today, as well as the original production crew of All Creatures Great and Small, who will share with the audience how it all began.
There will be live music from Leeds band The Dunwells, as well as Harry’s own son Harrison Gration who will be performing hits from beloved stage shows.
“The theme will be Yorkshire through and through,” said Harry.
There will also be an opportunity for the audience to join in with their own questions, and mix over cheese and wine after the show.
“Seeing people’s faces and knowing that you’ve got to perform and produce something that they will enjoy when people are going to be paying to come and see us in these beautiful theatres – you want them to have a great time,” said Christine.
The pair have shared many decades in local news and are great friends, though have only presented together a few times.
On television, the first time they co-presented was an anniversary programme that marked the first year after MP Jo Cox was killed.
“It was a very serious programme and obviously a serious subject,” said Christine. “So this is a completely different way of working.”
“I think the great thing about our friendship is that there’s a natural chemistry there that exists between us – we get on really well together and I hope that will come across on stage as well,” said Harry.
“It’s quite rare that you do get a partnership where you feel so relaxed with someone instantaneously,” added Christine. “We do seem to just gel and have fun.”
Tickets for A Grand Yorkshire Night Out start at £15 and can be purchased via the York Theatre Royal website.
