Staff who arrived at a school near Selby this morning were shocked to find that it had been attacked by vandals.

Hemingbrough Pre–School has been caring for 2 to 5 year-olds for over 30 years.

They discovered that a window had been smashed and whoever did it had used a wooden toy horse they had taken from breaking into the playhouse by smashing off the lock.

They said they playhouse was trashed too, along with a large threading butterfly which was bent and twisted.

The police have been informed and they are currently going through CCTV footage. If anyone has any information the staff would be extremely grateful.

The incident number is NYP-16052022-0069
