The police’s search for wanted York man, David James Bell, is continuing, as they urge people with information to get in touch “as a matter of urgency”.
Bell, who’s 31 and of no fixed address, is wanted in connection with a violent robbery that took place in York yesterday (Monday).
A woman in her 80s was knocked to the ground and had her bag stolen.
The police have now released CCTV footage of the incident, in hopes that it may jog the memory of those who may have witnessed the incident.
Bell is believed to be sleeping rough in York, and also has connections to Harrogate.
Detective Chief Inspector Shaun Page said: “We need to find Mr Bell now. Anyone who is harbouring him may also be committing an offence.
“We urge anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to contact us as a matter of urgency.

“We believe he is sleeping rough so we are also appealing to anyone who has seen any sign of rough sleeping, including sleeping bags in the city, to contact us.
“He also has connections to Harrogate and anyone there who may have seen him is also asked to contact us.”
