A city centre post office which closed suddenly is about to reopen.
The Market Place branch on Colliergate in York shut more than three weeks ago on 6 May.
A note on the door said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances this branch is closed until further notice.”
Customers were redirected to the branches on Coney Street.
Today (Wednesday), a Post Office spokesperson gave this update: “We know how important a Post Office is to a community, and we are delighted to announce that Market Place Post Office will soon re-open.

“We are expecting the branch will open at some time tomorrow afternoon (Thursday, 29 May).
“The opening hours will be the same as before. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of this branch. ”
