Dreaming of escaping the January cold? Well a York travel event returns this month, and it’s giving away a £1,000 holiday voucher!
Independent travel agency Conexo Travel is offering the prize as part of its annual travel show.
Everyone who attends will go into a prize draw to win a Conexo Travel voucher worth £1K. The voucher can be spent in either store location, Haxby and Gillygate.
The Big Conexo Travel Show takes place on Saturday 18 January at Haxby Memorial Hall. The event will be attended by 16 top travel suppliers including cruise specialists Fred Olsen and Newcastle Airport.
It comes six months after Conexo opened its second store on Gillygate.
David Carruthers, owner of Conexo Travel, said: “We are over the moon with the community response we have received in this short time.
“January’s travel show is the perfect way to start the new year – to showcase what we can offer to our customers.
“Following the show, we are excited to see what our peaks season brings for us not only in Haxby but also in Gillygate – a more centralised area where we can look at expanding our reach to more customer demographics and find a holiday to suit anyone and everyone.”
In 2025, Conexo Travel aim to emphasise luxury travel and cruising – and have plans to potentially move to a bigger premises.
There are also plans to appeal to university students in the area by promoting affordability and innovative offers.
Conexo Travel opened their first branch in Haxby in 2005, and went on to become Hays Travel Independence Group members in 2008. After growing ambitions, they opened their second location on Gillygate last year.
