Crews were called to a fire started deliberately in York yesterday evening (Saturday).
Firefighters from Acomb went to the incident at 5.11pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Acomb crews responded to a small fire set deliberately in some undergrowth.
“Crews used buckets of water to extinguish and also engaged with some youths nearby to warn of the danger of setting small fires in grassland in such dry conditions.”
